2024 Young Artist Competition Application
2024 FSSL FLUTE DAY REGISTRATION
DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE PRESCREENING ROUND FOR BOTH DIVISIONS, HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE, HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TO THIS SATURDAY, JANUARY 27.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION
For the high school preliminary round, all applicants must submit a completed application, FSSL dues and application fee, and an unedited audio recording of the required etude listed below (based on the state in which they live in). The fees, application, and required etude (mp3 format) must be submitted to slmonier@yahoo by midnight on Monday, January 22, 2024. The judges will select 3 finalists to move on to the final round, which will take place in person during Flute Day on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The 3 finalists will perform both selections from the final round list below. A pianist will be provided for each finalist.
Preliminary Round (Submit etude based on the state you currently reside in)
- Missouri Students: Voxman – Selected Studies for Flute
- Bach: F Minor “Gigue” pg. 40 (All-and no repeats)

COLLEGE DIVISION
For the college division preliminary round, all applicants must submit a completed application, FSSL dues and application fee, and an unedited audio recording of the required repertoire listed below. The fees, application, and unedited recording (mp3 format) must be submitted by midnight on Monday, January 22, 2024 and emailed to slmonier@yahoo.com. The judges will select 3 finalists to move on to the final round, which will take place in person during Flute Day on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The 3 finalists will perform the required selections from the list below. A pianist will be provided for each finalist.
